Written for Stouport-on-Severn Brass Band’s “It’s Magic” Wychavon 2025 set, I Put a Spell on You is a lively and dynamic re-imagining of the popular Nina Simone version of the tune. A familiar, slow and sleazy opening eventually becomes a stylish bossa nova with colourful mute effects and considered percussion additions.
