Molotov Cocktail was commissioned by Wingates Band and is a programmatic piece depicting the events of a trip to Dubai at the start of 2026 for their award-winning Red Admiral Entertainment Contest set. An evening of cocktails was abruptly interrupted by a barrage of missiles, causing a rapid evacuation of the area. Once the dust had settled and the air raid sirens had stopped, normality resumed as though nothing had ever happened. This piece aims to capture this dramatic juxtaposition between extreme relaxtion and sudden panic and takes its name from the improvised incendiary device of the same name.
